Step-by-step setup
Open the Google Play Store
Open the Play Store from the home screen; on Google TV it lives under Apps. Check that a Google account is signed in first, or the store will simply refuse to install anything.
Install an IPTV player
Search for TiViMate IPTV Player or IPTV Smarters Pro and install one. Boxes running the phone-style Play Store list both as well. TiViMate gives the more television-like result, though Smarters is the gentler starting point.
Add a playlist or Xtream login
Launch the player. TiViMate wants Add playlist, then Xtream Codes login; Smarters wants Login with Xtream Codes API. Either way, enter the username, password and server URL exactly as sent to you on WhatsApp.
Wait for channels and guide to load
The channel list and the guide download together. Budget one to two minutes on a first run and do not interrupt it. Name the playlist if prompted; anything memorable will do.
Organise your channels
Hide the categories you will never open, build a favourites row, and set your language. TiViMate keeps this under Settings then Playlists. Ten minutes here turns 25,000+ channels from unmanageable into genuinely quick to navigate.
Common errors and fixes
Play Store does not show the app
Older boxes sometimes run the phone build of Android, where the TV listing is hidden. Install the APK via Downloader instead, following the same sequence as the Firestick guide.
EPG is empty
Let the first update finish before judging it, then trigger Update EPG from the app settings. The guide source is bundled with your login, and support can send the EPG URL separately for the few apps that ask for one.
