Step-by-step setup
Allow apps from unknown sources
From the Fire TV home screen go to Settings, then My Fire TV, then Developer Options, and switch on "Apps from Unknown Sources". On newer Fire OS builds this toggle only appears once Downloader is installed, in which case you will find it under Install unknown apps after the next step.
Install the Downloader app
Return to the home screen, open the search icon and type Downloader. The one you want is the orange app by AFTVnews. Launch it once so that it prompts for storage permission, and grant it.
Download IPTV Smarters Pro
Inside Downloader, click the URL field and enter the short link from your WhatsApp activation chat, or the official IPTV Smarters Pro APK address. Press Go. The download runs and the installer opens by itself. Pick Install, then Done, then Delete, which clears the APK and frees the space again.
Open the app and choose Xtream Codes login
Locate IPTV Smarters Pro under Your Apps and Channels and open it. Accept the terms when prompted, then select "Login with Xtream Codes API" rather than any M3U option.
Enter your GreatestIPTV login
Give the profile any name you like, then copy the username, password and server URL exactly as they appear in the activation message. Press Add User. The channel list and guide download on first run, which takes roughly a minute.
Start watching
Open Live TV, choose a category such as USA, Sports or Movies, and pick a channel. Holding the select button on the remote adds it to favourites, which is worth doing before a match rather than during one. Should a stream stutter, move the decoder to hardware under Settings, Player settings.
Common errors and fixes
Downloader says the file cannot be downloaded
Retype the address slowly, or ask support for the alternative link. Also confirm that either "Apps from Unknown Sources" or "Install unknown apps" for Downloader is actually switched on, which is the usual culprit.
Login fails with "invalid credentials"
The server URL has to carry both http:// and the port, as in http://server:8080. Watch for a trailing space pasted in from the chat, and re-enter the username and password by hand if in doubt, since they are case sensitive.
Channels buffer in the evening
Switch the player to hardware decoding first. If the Wi-Fi signal is marginal, an Ethernet adapter for the Firestick fixes far more evening buffering than any app setting will. Where the ISP throttles video, a VPN on a nearby server usually restores it.

IPTV Smarters Pro is free and the simplest to get running. TiViMate has the better guide and channel layout but wants a small yearly or lifetime Premium licence for the full feature set. Both accept the same login, and both have their own guide here, so trying each during the trial costs nothing.
Does IPTV work on the Fire TV Stick Lite?
Yes. The Lite runs the same Fire OS and takes IPTV Smarters Pro through the identical steps. Its ceiling is 1080p, so if Ultra HD sport and films are the point of the exercise, spend the extra on the 4K Max instead.
Can I use my GreatestIPTV login on the Firestick and my phone?
Install it on as many devices as you like. What a 1-device plan limits is simultaneous streams, so both can stay logged in while only one plays at any moment. If two people need to watch different things at once, take the 2-device plan on the pricing page.
