Step-by-step setup
Install the app for your device
Android TV and phones take it from Google Play. Firestick needs sideloading through Downloader, covered in the Firestick guide. Samsung and LG: search their own TV stores for "IPTV Smarters". Apple users want "IPTV Smarters Player" on the App Store. Windows and Mac: the official site.
Choose Login with Xtream Codes API
On the opening screen accept the terms, then select Xtream Codes. Avoid the M3U option unless support has specifically asked you to use it, as it gives you a weaker guide.
Enter your GreatestIPTV details
Enter any profile name, then the username, password and server URL, complete with http:// and the port, exactly as they were sent. Tap Add User.
Let the EPG load
Channels, on-demand titles and the guide all download together, and the listings populate over the following few minutes. Under Settings, EPG, switch on "Enable EPG on live TV" or the guide stays hidden behind the player.
Set the player
Under Settings, Player settings, select the built-in player with hardware decoding. Where a single channel stutters while the rest behave, switch just that one to software decoding from the player menu rather than changing the global setting.
Common errors and fixes
"Your account is expired"
The plan has simply run out. Renew on WhatsApp and the identical login starts working again within minutes; there is nothing to reinstall.
Channels list is empty after login
Pull down to refresh, or sign out and back in. If it is still empty after that, the server URL is wrong, and the port number is the part people most often drop.
App keeps closing on Firestick
Clear the cache under Settings, Applications, Manage installed applications, then reopen it. If the crashes continue, reinstall the current version, as older sideloaded builds go stale.
